On Tuesday, we talked about the difference in fossils and artifacts. Then, we used a watermelon and pretending we were archaeologist going on an adventure to dig up artifacts. Each seed in our piece of watermelon represented an artifact. We also discussed the weight, length, and how many stripes there were on the watermelon. We treated it like it was the tomb of a famous person.
