Friday was the last day of our Young Chefs unit. The school age students put on a nice world food fair for us and told us about different foods from around the world. Mr. Bowen made a very special treat for us. He made Coca Cola Chicken Wings. They were really great.

On Thursday, we made pizzerts. The older students made one first to see what method would be the easiest for us to use. They made the large pan pizza. We went next. We decided to make pizzert pockets. We started by making our pizza dough from a pizza dough mix. Then, we sprayed some cooking spray on our hands and flattened it into small pancake sized crusts. After that we sprinkled a little bit of powdered sugar on the dough. After that, we chose our favorite pie filling and added it next. We then put a few chocolate chips on top. Next, we folded over the top of the dough and creased it with a fork. We sprinkled some more sugar on top, baked them, and enjoyed the delicious pizzerts.

Because we enjoyed our "CUP"cakes so much, we tried another fun recipe. We used regular muffin mixes and placed three tablespoons of muffin mix and two tablespoons of milk in our cups. We stirred it up really well. Next, we added some food coloring to make marbled muffins. We baked them on 425 degrees for 15 minutes. Then, we ate them.....such a simple way to make a smart, sweet treat.
