On Monday we began our Invention Convention study: First we discussed, "What is an invention?" and "What is a convention?" Then, we talked about what is an inventor? As a whole group we will research inventions the students are curious about. then, we Inspected the classroom and building to locate all the inventions that can be found. All the inventions that have US Patent will have a patent #. In library, students showed their creativity by designing their very own inventions. We will continue to work on these throughout the week. We also made fireworks because we are all curious about how they work and why we have them on the Fourth of July. We will be reading a lot of books. We started our nap time chapter book today. The children are writing a journal about each chapter of the book. They are so curious about James and the Giant Peach.
