On Friday, we visited the public library. We watched a great show of gymnastics, dancing, singing, juggling, and other tricks. The audience was completely captured from beginning to end.

Today, we learned all about Stink Bugs. We learned that they are stinky to protect themselves from predators. Did you know that the yellow icky stuff that gets on you when you hold a Ladybug is their blood???? Yuck-o-rama!!!!

Bugs!!!!!!!!!!!Bugs!!!!!!!! And more Bugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had a great time in the biology lab observing bugs and identifying them. We saw several bugs that were still in the "caterpillar" stages of life. Dr. Morse showed us what they would look like in the adult stage. Man were they creepy!!!

Today, we are learning about creepy crawly oh so nasty bugs. Each of us chose our favorite multi-legged creature to look at and discuss. We learned about centipedes, bees, butterflies, ladybugs, caterpillars, bumblebees, beetles, and roly poly bugs. We talked about the differences in the things these bugs eat. We also learned that moths come from a cocoon and butterflies come from a chrysalis. Later today, we are going to the bug lab to see Dr. Morse. He is going to teach us even more cool facts about bugs.

On Tuesday, we talked about burps. Then, we made Oobleck and watched it turn from a liquid to a solid back to a liquid and so forth. We listened for the burp but could not hear it. We still enjoyed playing in the slimy messy oobleck though.

These little birds pooped all over the floor....ha ha....just kidding....but we did have a blast "pooping" and watching it splatter everywhere.

On Monday, June 23, we discussed a variety of birds. We looked at pictures of different birds and chose our favorites. Then, we looked at different poop from the birds. We even found some real poop on the playground fence. We watched a video called "All About Birds" and discussed the likenesses and differences of birds. Stay tuned, we are making bird poop later today.
